Yukino Ozawa is an original character from Zelgadis' The King of Fighters Memorial fangame series. Based on a relatively obscure character from a very obscure H-game, Zelgadis' incarnation of her is a Kula Diamond edit wth pyrokinetic powers.

She serves as the main protagonist of the series. Initially fighting on Gustab Munchausen 's side after the latter made a glove for her to control her pyrokinetic powers, she eventually abandons her mission of fighting against Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami, instead choosing to switch sides and fight against Gustab after seeing no reason to continue fighting Kyo and Iori.

However, after Element escapes, she is captured and brainwashed into Puppet Yukino, which the players must fight at the end of the second game.

Lv1 Version Edit

Being one of Zelgadis' more original characters, Yukino seems to have a better moveset than the rest of the cast, just as K' has better moves due to his good standing with the SNK development team.

Do be careful of the Cheap AI, which plays a very strong pressure game, up to and including instantly throwing when within range.

Also note that Yukino can triangle jump.

In The King of Fighters Level 2, Yukino is still pretty much the same, except for a few changes:

  • New hairstyle
  • New effects for fire-based attacks
  • Better Blowback Attack (c)
  • New pose for Flame Blast (D,F, x or y)
  • Flame Cannon (F,D,B,F, x or y) fires a fireball instead of the original projectile. Y version is slower.
  • Fire Knuckle (D,DB,B, x or y) knocks the opponent away immediately, preventing followup.
  • Lost Flame Geyser (F,D,DF, a or b)
  • Unleashed Flames command changed, new anim
  • Gained new super: Ardent Smash (D,F,D,F, a or b, super Flaming Smash)
  • Close Hard Punch has more knockback, must cancel on first hit to link F+a
  • Lost all air supers
  • Heaven and Hell Meltdown startup increased, but if it activates, opponent is instantly killed
