According to the poll I posted about a month ago, it would appear that the new method won by a landslide (that, or Ricepigeon created multiple accounts ). The results are as follows:
Now of course, this new method needs to be better explained so we're all on the same wavelength, which is precisely what this blog intends to do.
Movelist - This stays the same, obviously
The movekey will remain, as hovering over the icons will show the old method for the old fogeys who can't adapt to change (), but will be added as a template into the articles so it can't be edited (seeing as it's universal and all). Also, because it's a template, altering the actual template page will alter its appearance on all the articles it's present in, meaning less hassle if it needs to be changed. Use {{Movekey}} to add it to an article.
Hovering the mouse cursor over the Command Input icons will display text that refers to the inputs set in M.U.G.E.N's Key Config.
Icons encased in square brackets [ ] require the respective button(s) to be held down. Hovering the mouse cursor over the icon displays the hold duration if applicable.
To input a move code, use {{CommandList}} (usage notes are written on the template's page).
And now for the icons themselves. Please go here to view a comprehensive list of every activation and property icon we have, complete with usage syntax.

Yes, instead of commas, we've got spaces. Certain users might be wondering why certain motions like the Hadouken motion aren't labelled as "+"; this is because certain attacks have two buttons pressed at the same time, so if we used this, it'd be confusing. For example:

For attacks that can be activated through any of the six action buttons, use " or ". For example, " or ". Yes, there's a space in between the icons and "or", but not +. That's how it's supposed to be.
