Origin

Marvel

Thanos, also known as the Mad Titan, is a supervillain from the Marvel Universe created by Mike Friedrich and Jim Starlin, having made his first appearance in Iron Man #55 in 1973. He appeared as a playable character in Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, being a boss character in the former.

Thanos is a Titanian mutant-Eternal superhuman born on Saturn's moon Titan. He became fascinated with nihilism and death, worshipping and eventually falling in love with the physical embodiment of death, Mistress Death. He sought out personal power and increased strength, augmenting his physical strength and powers mistically and artificially, eventually meeting Mistress Death itself. He gathered an army and began a nuclear bombardement on Titan, killing millions of his race, in order to impress Mistress Death. He then travelled to Earth, seeking universal power in the form of the Cosmic Cube.

In M.U.G.E.N, Thanos has been made by various creators, with most, if not all versions emulating Thanos' gameplay from Marvel Super Heroes or Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

TheNoneThanosIdle

The_None's version of the Mad Titan uses gameplay from Marvel vs. Capcom 2 with several elements taken from Marvel Super Heroes, even going as far as to include the infamous infinites involving Death Sphere. Thanos' above average damage output, powerful Hypers and brutal A.I ensure domination of the universe, though being a character made by The_None, he also has a few amusing jokes thrown in the mix.
