Origin

Touhou Project

Tenshi Hinanawi is a celestial from Touhou Project, first appearing in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody as both a playable character and the primary antagonist, usually serving as the final boss for most of characters' scenarios; she also makes an appearance as a playable character in Antinomy of Common Flowers, as well as being one of the many bosses in both Double Spoiler and Impossible Spell Card.

Tenshi is a playful and selfish individual, having the ability to control keystones and manipulate the earth, while also wielding the mighty Sword of Hisou. During the events of Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, Tenshi became fed up with the carefree life in Heaven, which she considered boring. After witnessing many of the incidents that occur in Gensokyo, she becomes inspired to create an incident of her own out of sheer boredom; by setting off an earthquake in Gensokyo, this caused various events to occur, including the destruction of the Hakurei Shrine, so in most characters' Story Mode scenarios, the character pays a visit to Heaven to investigate the issue and fight Tenshi.

In M.U.G.E.N, Tenshi has been made by various creators.

Trivia

  • Tenshi appears as the second 'medium' option for Training's appearance. This might be a reference to how she is depicted as a masochist in fandom.
