With only one attack that doesn't even connect at all and only 15 sprites, Cool's initial version of everybody's favorite memetic green ogre can barely be considered a M.U.G.E.N character. There is also a possibility that Lord Farquadd himself even programed this character.
Shrek is an extremely bare-bones character, only having a single attack and nothing more. Even though he is able to use all six buttons, they all lack proper animations, with his only semi-functionable attack being mapped to (Y) while standing. Despite said attack having a hitbox, it is non-damaging to the opponent, due to the lack of a HitDef state controller in the aforementioned attack's state.
If Shrek were to walk or run into an opponent, he is able to simply pass right through them, due to a lack of collision hitboxes on said animations. In fact, Shrek lacks collision hitboxes on nearly all of his animations, having them on only three of his ninety-four animations.
Shrek has no custom A.I., opting to use the default M.U.G.E.N A.I. instead. Although that may make the player think of Shrek as an easy opponent, his small size and lack of collision hitboxes make the ogre a tedious fight for the player.
This character does not have any Special or Hyper Attacks.
This character does not have any victory quotes, meaning it uses the screenpack's default.
