Roy was originally made to be playable in a discontinued M.U.G.E.N Project called Fire Emblem Shrine. While called "Master Roy", the version for Fire Emblem Shrine is anything but masterful, with its A.I. having a chronic tendency to do a whole lot of nothing.
Master Roy is a six-button character with an unusual layout; instead of the usual punches and kicks, Ⓐ and Ⓑ activate its regular attacks that don't consume Power when grounded (Ⓐ uses Power in the air), Ⓧ activates a stronger attack that uses Power, Ⓨ is used to activate Critical Hit, and both Ⓒ and Ⓩ activate a dodge. All of its attacks, except for Critical Hit, do very little damage, and it struggles to raise its Power high enough to use Critical Hit in the first place.
Master Roy features a custom A.I. that doesn't perform actions with much coherence, typically performing its dodge and attacking at random.
