Origin

Pokémon

Rampardos is a Rock-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It is the final evolution of Cranidos and one of the two fossil Pokémon native to the Sinnoh region, alongside Shieldon and its evolution. It appears at #037 in the Sinnoh Pokédex and #409 in the National Pokédex.

Rampardos are well-known for their incredibly thick skulls, which allow them to ram into anything without feeling any sort of pain, even when ramming into one another. However, due to their skulls being incredibly thick, their brains cannot develop whatsoever. When chasing prey, they will tear down anything that stands in their way, whether it be a jungle tree, or a concrete building.

In M.U.G.E.N, Rampardos has been made by Minoo under the name 'ramparudo', which is almost the literal translation of Rampardos' Japanese name, Rampald. ramparudo uses custom sprites, and attacks using mainly its head and tail, but in some of its specials, rises spike-shaped rocks from the ground, and makes rocks fall onto the opponent.

A slow, heavy-hitting character, ramparudo takes cues from the Pokémon games, so while it may be quite powerful, it's also quite frail and can't take too many hits before being K.O.'d. Comboing isn't exactly its highlighting feature, but with power like this, it doesn't matter if you can only rack up three to five hits.
