NeoKamek's version |
A Pokémon Stadium is a traditional stadium where Pokémon battles are held, generally in the form of a tournament. The stadium is complete with spectator stands and a large, prominent screen that broadcasts a close-up of the battle at hand; the terrain of a Pokémon Stadium can be changed at will, which means that Pokémon Trainers not only have to rely on their Pokémon's skills, but also on how the surroundings can be used to their advantage.
In M.U.G.E.N, Pokémon Stadium stages have been made multiple times by various creators, with the vast majority of them following the various different appearances of the Pokémon Stadium stages from the Super Smash Bros. series.
NeoKamek's version
Much like NeoKamek's Final Destination stage, this version of Pokémon Stadium is based on its appearance in Super Smash Bros. Melee. The stage features a large screen in the background that does not show a close-up of the fighting action, instead showing animated television static, though this is probably because a close-up feature is not possible in M.U.G.E.N.
CyberLizard's version
This Pokémon Stadium stage is a screenshot of the Pokémon Stadium 2 stage from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
MGMNZX's version
Much like Cyberlizard's version, Estadio Pokemon is a screenshot of the Pokémon Stadium 2 stage from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Darek's version
This version is based off the Pokémon Stadium 2 stage from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The stage has an intro where both of the two platforms that carry both fighters 'descend' into the arena, with the huge screen in front of the stage showing the intro to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Two of the custom additions to this stage are the bridge platforms that aren't present in the original version of the stage, these bridges stretch to the boundaries of the stage to prevent fighters appearing as if they are standing on air, another custom addition is the small screens added to the sides of the big screen that showcase some of the Pokémon from the original Pokémon games.
