Even if it doesn't have much in terms of a movepool, it's hard to ignore how undeniably spammy this Pikachu is, catering more to button-mashers with certain moves that can only be activated though repeated presses of specific buttons. Perhaps this character should have been called "Spamachu".
Pikachu uses a simple four-button layout and has a gameplay that focuses on attacking in a rather quick and spammy manner, but doesn't have particularly high comboability, meaning it functions best as a pressure character that requires quick thinking and reactions to defeat. Pikachu's small size makes it a hard target to hit, complimenting its spammy attacks and allowing it to attack without being attacked most of the time.
Perhaps what was intended as a Hyper (but is actually attributed as a Normal Attack) is a move known as Super Electroshock that covers almost the entire width of the screen, deals shield damage and makes Pikachu invincible during its duration. It uses 1000 Power and is activated by inputting (X)+(Y).
Pikachu's A.I. is relentless, constantly attacking the opponent and using Super Electroshock as soon as it gains enough Power. It will often back the opponent into a corner and spam moves to build up its Power, and due to its small size, rapid attacks and Super Electroshock's long range, Pikachu becomes a rather difficult opponent to approach, let alone K.O.
This character does not have any Special or Hyper Attacks.
