Mung Daal is one of the main characters from the Cartoon Network animated series, Chowder.
Married to Truffles and mentor of Chowder, of whom he acts somewhat like a fatherly figure to, Mung Daal is the founder and head chef of the Mung Daal Catering Company. He also has a sidekick and employee named Schnitzel.
In M.U.G.E.N, Mung Daal has been created by BeanFan112, as well as appearing as a striker of FelixMario2011's Chowder.
Gameplay
Foreshadowed by his idle animation, the rest of his sprites and animations are also rather stiff and lacking in quality, not helped by the odd scaling values given in its coding. This character, as well as all of BeanFan112's other characters, has the same style of gameplay which he always reuses for his characters, and has fairly easy AI, allowing many weaker characters (such as Kung Fu Man) to gain an easy win. He has a limited amount of physical attacks and movement, making the character practically impossible to do a combo with, as well as having a major pause in his hypers, leaving him wide open for attack. The character also suffers of incomplete design, due to lack of a consistent number of aerials, standing and crouching attacks, altogether with a wrong movelist readme and poorly coded command detection. Like Beanfan112's previous character, all of his hypers can only be done in the air (except for the "Big Punch" move) and has an infinite projectile.

- TIS2012 gave BeanFan112 the idea to summon Truffles and throw the sliced fingerdingies.
- This character has 3 moves that didn't make it in the final release. These include an apple throw (most likely replaced with the sliced fingerdingies), Knife Upper, and Juice Spit.
