Origin

Pokémon

Mewtwo is a Psychic-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It is an artificially-created legendary Pokémon of the Kanto region, created from Mew's DNA. Although it does not evolve from or into any known Pokémon, it does have two Mega Evolutions known as Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y. It appears at #150 in both the Kanto and National Pokédexes.

Through various experiments that took place in a secret laboratory located in Cinnabar Island Mansion, Mewtwo was created from the embryo of a pregnant Mew, with its DNA altered through scientific means. The whole process was an attempt create the most powerful Pokémon, which backfired when Mewtwo retaliated against the scientists and destroyed the lab in the process with its heightened psychic powers. It usually remains motionless in order to fully conserve its energy for battle, during which it thinks only of defeating its opponent. Due to its extreme levels of aggression, it has the most savage heart among all known Pokémon species.

In M.U.G.E.N, Mewtwo has been made by various different creators, though most aren't particularly good in terms of quality and balance. The most well-known is either the version by Omegabros6, or the version by The 100 Mega Shock!, which is the considerably newer version of the two. A version of Mewtwo also appears as one of two final bosses of Project Catch 'Em All, along with Lugia.

The 100 Mega Shock!'s MewtwoEdit

100Mewtwoidle

Much like his Blaziken character, Mewtwo will only work in M.U.G.E.N 1.0 due to the localcoord tag, which is used to resize every single aspect of a character (including velocities). An all-round solid character to play as, Mewtwo can pull of a fair amount of combos without being horribly cheap or overpowered, and has a fair arsenal of projectiles at its disposal. No AI programming has been implemented, so it uses the engine's default. Although relatively balanced, not long after the first public release of Mewtwo, The 100 Mega Shock! stated that he wasn't happy with the way Mewtwo plays, and went "back to the drawing board" to reconstruct its gameplay from the ground-up.[1]

It should be noted that Mewtwo will cause long loading times and lag when used/fought against on less powerful computers. It may also crash M.U.G.E.N unexpectedly.

marioluigiwario12345's MewtwoEdit

Suave Dude Icon This section is currently incomplete. Please help us rectify this.

This version of Mewtwo is a spriteswap of Ice-Oro-Mizuchi. It has random sound clips of various characters such as Mario, Homer Simpson, and Dio Brando. It uses The 100 Mega Shock!'s Mewtwo sprites, and much like Ice-Oro-Mizuchi, it is a cheapie.
