An incredibly odd Japanese-made Metal Mario. It may seem like an edit of a particular version of everybody's favorite plumber, but it's a mostly new creation aside from the sprites. This character is very cheap as a result of being able to damage opponents by simply ramming into them, so its readme file title translation of "Invincible Metal Mario" might not be mere boasting...

Metal Mario is a four-button character that makes use of the Button-abc and (X)Button-x buttons. Each button doesn't do anything if it doesn't have Power, but once it gets 1000 Power, which is extremely easy with it's high Power gain per attack, it can use one of four attacks, each activated with one of the aforementioned buttons.

Combos aren't exactly present in this character, but Metal Mario doesn't need them; it is an obvious candidate for cheap character status, with its weakest attack is able to decimate half of a normal character's Life, just by touching an opponent. Its Thwomp summon and 1up-Mushroom summon are good examples of a untrue One hit knockout, rendering it's other two Power-costing attacks pointless. It still flinches like normal on it's first palette, and can be knocked over and grabbed still, though. Blocking with this Metal Mario will cause it to freeze up until hit with a low attack, or if blocking low, a high one, probably due to poor coding. This is also reflected in its lack of sprites in its lose pose, and several hit states.

Metal Mario also has a cheap palette mode, but all it does is slightly boost it's Attack and Defence. Its A.I. is also extremely cheap, being able to use moves without any Power reliance.

Trivia

  • It should be noted that this Metal Mario is heavily based around its appearance in Super Mario 64, with a Camera Lakitu following the character around and 'Metallic Mario' overwriting the current stage's background music. Another unknown song plays when Metal Mario is defeated on the first round.
