This character may have clever keepaway with gadgets and gizmos galore but he can also seal your fate with powerful and sometimes even endless combos. He also has an author's signature Easy Mode that heavily simplifies gameplay.
MARVIN is a six-button character who has a lot of mechanics found in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, such as a Super Jump, Chain Comboing, Push Block and easy to perform Hypers, though he lacks a damage dampener. A majority of MARVIN's heavy Normals are projectiles; these Normals are the standing and aerial verions of Ⓩ and the standing and crouching versions of Ⓒ.
Even though MARVIN is designed to be a keepaway character he has combos capable of draining 45% of the opponents health without the need of any powerbars. Easy Mode makes moves easy to activate, only requiring pressing the same button twice to activate Specials and pressing two buttons at once to use Hypers. The character can chain light attacks into medium attacks into heavy attacks, along with being able to chain punches into kicks.
MARVIN has a variety of moves at his disposal, such as the Cosmonade, which is a set of projectiles which the player can summon up to 3 of at once. There are several variants of this move; two of which are aim-able by holding down the attack button pressed, Whilst the variant that isn't aimable bounces until it's close enough to the opponent. MARVIN also has several infinites at his disposal with varying degrees of difficulty.
MARVIN has a custom A.I. which, whilst capable of doing some decent combos, tends to use keepaway moves at times that leave himself vulnerable.
