One of the horribly weak descendants of the once stronger Magikarp mentioned in numerous Pokédex descriptions, this character is only capable of using the move Splash to flop around in a pathetic display of helplessness; opponents shouldn't spend too long laughing at Magikarp's flopping though, as it will use Struggle once it runs out of PP for Splash, a move which will OHKO the opponent...and Magikarp itself.
Magikarp is a character that doesn't use any buttons to attack, rendering the and buttons to respectively move forwards and backwards as its only means of being controlled, seeing as it is incapable of either jumping or crouching. Magikarp's singular attack is an automatically activated move that occurs 40 seconds after the battle starts, which effectively makes Magikarp a sitting duck until said time comes to pass, forcing the character to adopt a gameplay style which can be simplified as running away and hoping that the opponent can't keep up with it; however, there are many things that work against this enforced style of gameplay, such as Magikarp's slow walking velocities and its inability to block and attacks (though it is capable of blocking a single attack that doesn't do block damage), though these pale remarkably in comparison to the character having a single point in life, meaning that any attack that either successfully connects with Magikarp or is capable of dealing block damage is guaranteed to K.O. it.
In the event that Magikarp is successful in pulling off its attack, it is incapable of winning a battle with it despite having the OHKO property, as the attack will also K.O. Magikarp, effectively rendering all that time avoiding an opponent's attacks wasted; furthermore, Magikarp will still automatically K.O. itself after a small period of time if the attack is successfully avoided, which isn't overly hard to do seeing as the character will always fly at a predetermined angle rather than directly towards the opponent.
Magikarp technically uses M.U.G.E.N's default A.I., but the restrictions on the character's movement options coupled with having no usable attacks means that the only behaviour the A.I. displays is suicidally moving towards its opponent and waiting for them to attack it.
Hovering the mouse cursor over the Command Input icons will display text that refers to the inputs set in M.U.G.E.N's Key Config.
Icons encased in square brackets [ ] require the respective button(s) to be held down. Hovering the mouse cursor over the gap displays the hold duration if applicable.
