Like all of Minoo's Touhou characters, this version of Kogasa uses custom sprites and gameplay and has a very unusual button layout. While this version of Kogasa is more melee-oriented, she still has a few projectiles or ranged attacks.
This version of Kogasa has a very unusual button layout, using only the (A) and (B) buttons for melee attacks. She uses the (C), (X) and (Y) buttons for ranged attacks and the (Z) buttons for activating her Hypers.
Her gameplay is different from the Touhou fighting games, though it takes cues from said games. Her gameplay is custom and very unusual. Kogasa appears to be more melee-oriented than projectile-oriented, unlike most of Minoo's Touhou characters, with her only projectile attacks being the ones activated with (C), (X) and (Y). Her comboability is also higher than most of Minoo's characters, though her damage ouput is low. Kogasa also has an auto-combo, like in the Touhou fighting games, activated by pressing (A) in front of the opponent up to four times. Like Minoo's other characters, Kogasa's projectile attacks use up Power. However, Kogasa starts out with 1500 Power at the start of a fight and has a "Spirit Attack", activated with (C), that deals no damage but knocks the opponent down and gives 1000 Power, making Power gain a non-issue. This also allows her to spam her Hypers.
Most of her Specials and projectile attacks can knock the opponent down. Her Specials are very useful in corporating them into combos and her Hypers can be used as finishers while also dealing decent damage. While spamming (X) in front of the opponent while the opponent is near the edge of the screen may appear to be an infinite, the opponent can still block it or jump out of it with the right timing.
Like all of Minoo's characters, she has no A.I. and uses the engine's default. It jumps around incredibily often, rarely attacks and almost never chains attacks into other attacks. It almost never uses her Hypers. It's very easy to beat.
