Hit Stun and Block Stun

Not to be confused with Stun.

Hit Stun and Block Stun both refer to the length of time a character stays in a hitstate after being hit by or blocking an attack. Any attack that connects on an opponent during Hit Stun will register as a combo, while any attack that connects on an opponent during Block Stun is considered a Block String. Hit Stun and Block Stun are both used in the calculation of Frame Advantage.

In M.U.G.E.N, Hit Stun and Block Stun correspond to the following parameters in a character's Hitdef:

  • ground.hittime (Hit Stun only)
  • ground.slidetime (Hit Stun only)
  • air.hittime (Hit Stun only)
  • guard.slidetime (Block Stun only)
  • guard.hittime (Block Stun only)
  • guard.ctrltime (Block Stun only)
