Origin

The Amazing World of Gumball

Gumball Watterson is a twelve-year-old cat, who is one of the main characters of the show, The Amazing World of Gumball.

Gumball is a turquoise colored trouble-prone male cat who goes to Elmore Junior High with his ten-year-old adopted little brother/pet, Darwin and his four-year-old genius sister, Anais. Gumball is in Miss Simian's class along with Darwin and his love interest, Penny Fitzgerald.

In M.U.G.E.N, Gumball has been created numerous times, and is a W.I.P. character of many other creators. Although most of the versions aren't that good, the most popular version of Gumball has been created by Zobbes. He also appears as a striker of Tanicfan22's Anais Watterson.

Sonicadam2's VersionEdit

Sonicadam2Gumball

This is the first version of Gumball. It was made by TheIranSonic with the assistance from Sonicadam2. The sprites are pretty horrible, and his moves are overpowered and stolen. He also appears to be missing his tail.

Mrsonicfan17's VersionEdit

Mrsonicfan17Gumball

Mrsonicfan17 has also created a version of Gumball. Like his other characters, it's of poor quality. He has said that he'll make a new version. This Gumball is missing a large number of sprites and animations, and it can only do basic attacks.

Mugenfan's VersionEdit

Mugenfans gumball

Mugenfan has made a Gumball, but it's a spriteswap of WlanmaniaX's Rigby. It has both Gumball's and Rigby's voice for sounds. His helpers are Darwin, Anais, and Penny and Derpy. This is still a poor-quality character, but it's still considered exceptional due to most other versions of Gumball being the same quality.

N1000sh's VersionEdit

N1000sh's Gumball

N1000sh will try to make a decent Gumball Watterson for M.U.G.E.N. Compared to the others, this version contains somewhat decent sprites.

However the status of this character is unknown.

TheIransonic's Gumball V2Edit

Theiransonic's Gumball

TheIransonic modified Sonicadam's Gumball with a different set of sprites (though they are still of pretty low quality). He has added a few sounds in his attacks from the show, which were taken from Mugenfan's version. All of his hyper moves can turn him into Gi Gumball. TheIransonic also added hitsparks in his Shun Goku Satsu. The drawbacks are that Gumball's hitboxes are in the wrong place, and he is still overpowered. TIS2012 said that he might consider changing the character into a duo character with Darwin.

Zobbes' VersionEdit

Newgumball

Zobbes made a Gumball as well. While it uses the less quality sprites, they are better edited, and the sounds are fixed. Gumball used to have some bad qualities in his first release, such as having Rigby's voice, as well as coding from WlanmaniaX's Rigby, including the Shun Goku Satsu. Most, if not all of these, were fixed in the update. This version was being updated/edited again by TIS2012, in this case, mainly changing the sprites, due to the lack of quality in the original ones, and adding extra moves; the current status of said edit is unknown, and is most likely cancelled. This version also has some Tails' voice clips. Despite it's flaws, this Gumball is the most decent version to date.

Rapthemonkey9's Gumball and DarwinEdit

Rapthemonkey9 was going to make a Gumball that plays much like Madoldcrow's Finn and Jake character, with Jake being replaced by Darwin. The sprites were styled like Madoldcrow's characters, but were made by Jarquin10. Rapthemonkey9 decided to cancel Gumball and Darwin but instead he made an edit of  Zobbes' Gumball with TheWaluigiKing.

JGearyandJSlikk's Symboite GumballEdit

SymbioteGumballStance

This version of Gumball is essentially a paletteswap of Zobbes' version, and unlike other Symbiote edits, the voice isn't changed. WindowsTehHedgehog has edited this character to make it look better. Later, JGearyandJSlikk edited WindowsTehHedgehog's Symbiote Gumball by fixing the palette and editing the eyes. But there are still flaws present within the creation. He is overpowered, has a lot of health, strong defenses, and some of sounds are misused and/or misplaced. It even has sounds a regular symbiote character dosen't have. The character is still overall shoddy, and not recommended for roster placement.

TheWaluigiKing and Rapthemonkey9's versionEdit

TWK Gumball

This most recent version of Gumball is an edit of Zobbes' Gumball by TheWaluigiKing and Rapthemonkey9. It has new moves and sounds. But it still uses the low quality sprites that most of the other Gumballs made for M.U.G.E.N use. it comes with a silly soundpack too.

SonicCrash's versionEdit

NEW IDLE

It is known that SonicCrash will make an edit of TheWaluigiKing's Gumball. Unlike the others, this version uses better spritework. Info about it, including its moveset, is currently unknown, although it might have a Darwin helper.

Kyle108's Toonix GumballEdit

Toonix gumball

Kyle108 has made a Toonix Gumball for M.U.G.E.N. It uses the disliked E.O.H template as a base and still has some sprites from the other gumballs, but dispite those flaws, it has fitting collision boxes.

Tanicfan22's VersionsEdit

Sonicadam2GumballTanicfan22gumballGumballhires

Tanicfan22 also made a Gumball though this one uses the low quality sprites from the other versions and has new moves. The updated version will use different sprites however. He also made a Hi-Res one.

Cattigan619's VersionEdit

GumballStance

Cattigan619 is planning on making a Gumball character with custom sprites. Not much is known about him. A beta version was recently released.

Palette Gallery Edit

So far it is the most accurate version of Gumball for the engine and he has Street fighter style gameplay much like in the episode "The Words".

NatanDani's editEdit

GumballStance

Natandani also edit Gumball from Cattigan619 's Gumball, the sprites from Ryu Moves.

TriviaEdit

  • Zobbes's Gumball was the first version with different palettes. It was also the first version with a power charge.
  • JGearyandJSlikk's version is misspelled as "Symboite Gumball"
  • The Crouch punch attacks of Zobbes' version are merely the same attack except for the damage dealt.
  • TheIranSonic's V2 of Gumball is the first version with different sprites.
  • The low quality Gumball sprites, that many of the versions of Gumball use were originally made by TIS2012.
