MugenPoopMaster's version (2009)

Gengar is a Ghost/Poison-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series that also makes an appearance as a playable character in the 3D fighting game, Pokkén Tournament. It is the final evolution of Gastly, and has a Mega Evolution known as Mega Gengar. It appears at #094 in both the Kanto and National Pokédexes.

Gengar has the ability to hide perfectly in the shadow of any object, making it almost unnoticeable, other than the fact that its presence cools the temperature of the surrounding area by nearly 10°F, because it takes the warmth away. When Gengar Mega Evolves into Mega Gengar, the excess power of Mega Evolution causes it to partly sink into an alternate dimension, while causing Mega Gengar to perceive all of its opponents as prey.

In M.U.G.E.N, Gengar was made by MugenPoopMaster. It pimarily uses sprites from Pokémon Type: Wild, though some of its effects come from other sources.

With hi-res sprites from Pokémon Type: Wild, you'd think Gengar would play like it does in said game; though you wouldn't be completely wrong, it's not exactly accurate either. An interesting feature Gengar has is the ability to poison its opponent with two of its moves, but the effect is quite glitchy and doesn't always go away.
