While this character uses custom sprites, he has some flaws in his moveset that make him overpowered, with high comboability, allowing the player to deal huge damage by just mashing buttons, and Hypers that deal above average damage. To rub the salt into the wound, he uses the infamous Super Marvel vs. Capcom: Eternity of Heroes template, meaning he's plagued with bugs.
Toon Link is a six-button character. He uses the Super Marvel vs. Capcom: Eternity of Heroes template and has Marvel vs. Capcom gameplay as a result. He has gameplay mechanics from said game, like a Super Jump and a Launcher. However, he doesn't have three different variants of his Specials.
His comboability is very high. While his Normals cannot be chained into each other, he can chain weaker Normals into stronger Normals and he can chain punches into kicks. As a result, the player can deal huge damage to the opponent by just mashing buttons. As expected from a character that uses a sword to attack, Toon Link has infinite priority on all of his Normals. His Spin is very overpowered, as it can take out almost 1/3rth of the opponent's Life if all hits connect.
While he has only two Hypers, they both deal above average damage. His Triforce Slash in particular is very overpowered, as it takes out more than half of the opponent if it connects. As a result of him using the infamous Super Marvel vs. Capcom: Eternity of Heroes template, there are several bugs present in the character. Because of his high damage output, high comboability, infinite priority on all of his Normals and overpowered Triforce Slash Hyper, this character is quite cheap.
This character has a custom A.I. that is of moderate difficulty. While it's not very different from the default A.I. in terms of behavior, it attacks more often than the default A.I., but it's still not able to perform combos of more than a few hits, in spite of his comboability. However, it will occasionally use his Spin or one of his Hypers, and if they hit, they will deal a lot of damage.
