This version of Matlock uses four buttons and has the gameplay of Fighters History Dynamite. It has a config file where the player can change its voice (between the Fighters History voice and the Fighters History Dynamite voice), hitboxes and whether the screen flashes white after winning.
It has a projectile and an anti-air, making it play a zoning game reminiscent of Guile. However, Matlock has an additional tool: the Overhead Kick. The Overhead Kick can leap over and subsequently punish projectiles. It has the ability to charge buffer, meaning it is able to charge for a move while using another move, for example being able to charge up a Road Hurricane while using a Spinning Wave attack.
