Origin

Pokémon

Wobbuffet is a Psychic-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It is the final evolution of Wynaut, and appears at #108 in the Johto Pokédex and #202 in the National Pokédex.

Wobbuffet are known for their limited, non-attacking moveset. While they cannot directly inflict damage on an opponent, they can use two of their moves to counter the moves they took damage from, and send double the damage they took straight towards the attacker. If knocked out, they have a unique move known as Destiny Bond that will take the attacker down too, although they only use this when their tails have been attacked.

In M.U.G.E.N, Wobbuffet has been made by Neat Unsou under the Japanese name of 'Sonans', as well as Pokemonboy7051.

Neat Unsou's Sonans[]

Sonansidle

This Wobbuffet, going by its Japanese alias Sonans, has a unique style of attacking in which it can't attack before the opponent, relying on Counter-ing the opponent's attacks. If used properly, it can counter just about anything, ranging from physical attacks, to projectiles, to even throws!

Pokemonboy7051's Wobbuffet[]

Wobbuffetidle

Pokemanboy7051's Wobbuffet is none other than a joke character that has to be hit by opponents in order to inflict damage to the opponent. Because Wobbuffet never attacks first, it has to rely on its Counter and Mirror Coat specials for damage. It also knows Safeguard and Destiny Bond, which appear as two of its three hypers. Wobbuffet is pretty weak due to his low stats, save for his life stat, but he is good for beginners.
