With plenty of Specials and Hypers to keep opponents at bay, Wario plays like a Marvel vs. Capcom character, harboring aerial raves, chain comboing, and everything in between. It uses sprites from Wario Land 4, as well as possibly using Infinity Mugen Team's template, but it has no infinites or real bugs.
Wario uses the Marvel vs. Capcom: Eternity of Heroes template. As such, Wario uses six buttons and plays akin to Marvel vs. Capcom, much like other characters that use the template. However, Wario lacks many of the bugs found in said template, making it more balanced, as it has no infinites.
Being a Marvel vs. Capcom styled character, Wario contains many mechanics from said series, such as push blocking, chain comboing, and aerial raves. Wario is also combo oriented due to the latter two. It has a rather wide movepool, but none of its Specials and Hypers are usable in the air, limiting its air game. To make up for this, Wario's moves seem to be more powerful.
In terms of an A.I, Wario is suitable as a mid-level opponent, as it plays aggressively and defensively in different situations. Wario's lack of projectiles also seems to open up a certain weakness.
