Most Venom characters attempt to be accurate to the Marvel vs. Capcom games. Not this one. This one is going end the lives of many weak spoil-sports who will go up against its custom gameplay and sprites.
Venom takes notes from the Marvel vs. Capcom series, but is overall custom. It has 12 standard strokes instead of 6 (if the player holds ). In addition, the only move left intact from Marvel vs. Capcom is its Web Throw Special. Otherwise, all of its Specials and Hypers are custom. Venom EX is absent in this version, but to make up for it, Venom has the ability to disappear (in a similar way to Shadow Man and Reptile).
Venom isn't without its faults, however; many of its moves have high priority and are quite safe to use, giving it an unfair advantage. Venom also has a brutal, almost cheap A.I., that will spam its Specials and level 1 Hypers, almost never opting to use its basic attacks or camouflage ability.
