Despite using sprites from Fatal Fury Special, this version of Terry takes as custom route compared to the other versions. It has gameplay from Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, with an expanded six button layout and completely different commands for some of its moves. Pressing Ⓢ opens up a movelist screen, not unlike the creator's other characters.
Terry is a six button character with gameplay based off Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, rather than Fatal Fury Special; it has many conventions from the former as a result, such as a Special's properties being determined by the button pressed. More powerful buttons make the attacks deal more damage and have more range, while weaker buttons are faster.
Terry's comboability isn't strong, not wielding any chain combos. Much like gameplay's source, however, Terry's damage output is also higher than average to compensate for this. Some of its Specials and its lone Hyper also have soft knockdown properties.
Terry has a rather strong custom A.I. It tends to use Power Wave and Burning Knuckle quite a bit. Coupled with its high damage output, Terry is a force to be reckoned with.
