Minion Pig is a five-button character with a strange button layout. It uses the A and B buttons for its Normals and the X, Y and Z buttons for its Hypers, which two of them are misattributed as Normals. Apart from an Air Jump, it doesn't have any special abilities like a Dodge or Super Jump.

Minion Pig has a very small moveset, with only two standing Normals, two aerial Normals, one Special (misattributed as a Normal) and three Hypers (two of which are also misattributed as Normals). While it is able to crouch, complete with a change of hurtbox, the crouching Normals are identical to the standing Normals. Almost all of Minion Pig's hurtboxes are misplaced or in the wrong size, often being taller and less wide than the sprite. The hitboxes of its Normals are also misplaced and they will only hit at a certain spot. Its standing A is an infinite if the player moves toward the opponent while spamming it. Minion Pig's damage output is higher than average because of its Attack stat of 170.

Minion Pig's three Hypers have a lot of range and deal huge damage, but deal little to no damage when blocked. However, the Hyper labeled as QCB_yz in the .cmd file, which is misattributed as a Normal in the code, deals significantly more damage than its other "Hypers", taking out about 3/4 of the opponent's lifebar when it connects, making the other "Hypers" almost useless. The Power cost of its Hypers is flawed, as while they all use 1000 Power, they can be activated with as little as 1 Power, allowing them to be spammed. Minion Pig's small size makes it hard to hit. Due to the fact that a lot of its moves are attributed as Normals, some reversal-type moves and other moves that check for hit attributes will not work as intended when fighting against Minion Pig.

Minion Pig has no custom A.I. and uses the engine's default. Although it provides little in the way of challenge by primarily jumping around and occasionally using its Normals, which rarely connect, it is still capable of abusing the character's inconsequential Power requirements to randomly throw out a surprise Hyper.
