As with The MegaBrony's other ponies, Sunset Shimmer is a MegaMan X-styled character. She uses a fire-oriented moveset and can do Sonic's spin dash. She also uses Botchan-MLP's Sunset Shimmer's desktop ponies sprites and edited ones and also has a brutal AI like his other characters.

Gameplay[]

Sunset Shimmer pony idle

Sunset Shimmer is a 3-button character, using A, B and C to attack, with a fire-oriented moveset. Most of her attacks have three classes like Weak, Medium and Hard and have air variants.

C is used to charge besides to be a Normal, releasing the button while fully charged, shoots a regular projectile, when pressed again, fires a more damaging projectile, however, it charges in the same time the button is being pressed instead of holding it, causing it to start charging unintentionally.

Her A.I. is brutal, mostly using her Shoryuken moves when close to the opponent, using her projectiles and dashing moves while being far, doing her Hypers when she has the needed power as all of them use 1000 Power, and most of her moves knock down the her foe althought not dealing many damage, but because of her AI, her foe is constantly knocked down. Sunset is difficult to combo with her Normals and Specials, but can be done with her Hypers. Like The MegaBrony's other MegaMan X-styled MLP characters, she can also do Sonic's Spin Dash to do dashing moves. Her Eruption attacks go too far depending on the button pressed, however, this causes the hard variant to go off-screen if not standing close to the left corner. In her Rain of Fire Hyper, Sunset shoots a big fireball upwards and then a chain of tiny spinning fireballs fall into where the opponent is in which can be dodged.
