While Cool's second take on the iconic green ogre might use the same sprites, his moveset is different, and he has received new moves. However, he lacks comboability, and some of his hitboxes are larger than the sprites.

Gameplay[]

ShrekCoolIdle

Shrek is a six-button character, but doesn't take after any gameplay style. Some of his Normals show him attacking his oppponents with an item, while others show him attacking normally, without holding anything.

Shrek doesn't have much strength, as he lacks any sort of comboability. However, all of his four Specials are projectiles, which can be useful to attack the opponent from the distance. They are also easy to activate, as all of them require Down to be pressed alongside another button. These moves do fair to almost no damage. The hitboxes are also unoptimized, due to being larger than they should. Additionally, Shrek cannot rapidly use them to perform an infinite, due to slow animations, which makes him a bit underpowered, especially with his large size in-game.

Shrek does not have any A.I. coding, meaning he uses the default A.I. provided by the engine. That, as well as everything else that works against him, makes him an unchallenging opponent.
