My Little Pony: Equestria Girls |
Sunset Shimmer is a human-then-pony and the former antagonist of the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls film, being a protagonist in the three next films, Rainbow Rocks, Friendship Games and Legend of Everfree. She's a student in Canterlot High, former student of Princess Celestia, and a rhythm guitarrist for The Rainbooms band.
Sunset Shimmer is considered a non-canon character in the Friendship is Magic series, as her only appearances are in the Equestria Girls movies and in one of the IDW comics.
In M.U.G.E.N, Sunset Shimmer has been made once by The MegaBrony and twice by ToonAlexSora007/Shimmering Brony. The MegaBrony's version goes under the name of Headmaster Thomas Light and has the appearance of a pony, while ToonAlexSora007/Shimmering Brony's versions are based on her appearances from the first and fourth Equestria Girls films.
The MegaBrony's version[]
As with The MegaBrony's other ponies, Sunset Shimmer is a MegaMan X-styled character. She uses a fire-oriented moveset and can do Sonic's spin dash. She also uses Botchan-MLP's Sunset Shimmer's desktop ponies sprites and edited ones and also has a brutal AI like his other characters.
ToonAlexSora007's version[]
Unlike the source character from the film, Sunset uses a fire-based moveset with some telekinesis and teleport packed in, though she also uses a sledgehammer to try to defeat her opponent. With custom sprites made by ToonAlexSora007 himself, she has a somewhat easy A.I. that can do some chain comboing, and turns into an raging she-demon by putting on the element of harmony in-battle.
Shimmering Brony's version[]
From the same creator who made evil Sunset Shimmer, this version of Sunset Shimmer has sprites edited from the evil version, but has a moveset based on the Friendship Games and Legend of Everfree movies while also having some original moves, like a telekinetic and Judo Throws. If you expect an exploding Daydream Shimmer hidden move, you are right.
