Although this character is meant to play like Capcom Fighting Jam, it ends up not playing like the source at all. The EX moves take up 330 Power and the Hypers take up 1000 Power, while in CFJ, they both take up the same amount of Power. It has an extra projectile, one from Darkstalkers/Night Warriors, and another from DarkStalkers 3, while in the source Demitri had only one fireball, the one from Darkstalkers/Night Warriors. The Hypers are way different in execution, the tricky motions being replaced by simple double Quarter Circles.
It might not play like Capcom Fighting Jam, but it still feels like Demitri, and captures the core gameplay of the character. It plays more like a compilation of Demitri's appearances in Darkstalkers games. It has both midnight bliss moves from the Darkstalkers series and CFJ (the former involving Demitri sucking the opponent's blood and the latter involving it covering the character with its cape). It has both Demon Blasts from Night Warriors and Darkstalkers 3. An issue that is seen in several of Ryon's characters that this one also has involves the air attacks not being overheads and having no low attacks.
