While Recoome might lack in speed, it makes up for its tremendous power, packing in multiple hard hitting attacks to keep foes at bay. Unlike many of Miaoyu's characters, as well as many other CHOUJIN style Dragon Ball characters for that matter, Recoome has two gameplay styles, "Throwing Skill" and "Hitting Skill".
One of the special things about Recoom to keep it from playing similar to other CHOUJIN style characters is the fact that you can select between two different fighting skills to fight with. "Hitting Skill" mode (also called EX mode), can be selected by holding Ⓢ while choosing Recoom at the select screen.
In "Throwing Skill" mode (also called Normal mode), Recoom relies on grapples and throws to attack an opponent, making it much more of a heavy grappler of sorts. In "Hitting Skill" mode, Recoom uses brute combat instead (two of his Hypers also change).
In terms of A.I., Recoom uses the default M.U.G.E.N engine A.I., wasting its powerful potential and instead just charges up power and occasionally attack for the most part.
