Before evolving from Cyberlizard, Jetgoshi's first take on Rayquaza appaers to be a certain gargantuan reptile in disguise, featuring similar moveset to it. Having also a very high Attack stat, you better beware of its power, as it'll be very hot.

Gameplay[]

Rayquazaidle

Rayquaza is a spriteswap of Shazzo's Giga Bowser, thus it is a six-button character. The strength of Rayquaza's attacks depend of the button pressed, although some moves have a long startup time, making Rayquaza easy to hit especially with projectiles since Rayquaza cannot move during them.

Rayquaza has very limited comboability; while it is possible to cancel any of its Normals into a different one, the startup of the stronger ones is too long, making it difficult to land a combo on the opponent. Rayquaza has an infinite involving its standing and crouching X and A; if any of them is pressed constantly, Rayquaza can prevent the opponent from attacking due to its lighter Normals coming out faster than its stronger ones. Rayquaza has very high Life and Attack stats, making it take a bit longer to K.O. and making its attacks very strong. Some of the moves can cause untrue OHKOs due to their duration, especially its moves that were likely intended to be Hypers, but are misattributed as a Special and a Normal, respectively.

Rayquaza has one Special and two moves likely intended to be Hypers. Flamethrow fires a flame and its speed's variety depends on the button pressed. Giga Blast, which is misattributed as a Special, works similiar to Rayquaza's Special, though it lasts for a bit longer, while Hyper Beam, which is misattributed as a Normal, shows Rayquaza firing a beam. Both "Hypers" are very overpowered, and they can take out an average character's entire Life without even leaving a tiny bit of it, especially Hyper Beam, since the latter has an extremely long range.

Rayquaza doesn't have any A.I.-specific coding, meaning it uses the engine's default, meaning it mostly focuses on randomly jumping and walking around the stage and randomly attacking. While this does make it unchallenging, its high Life and Attack stats might cause some problems.
