Yuyuko Saigyouji is the ghost "princess" from Touhou Project. She is the head of Hakugyokurou in the Netherworld who first appeared as the Final Boss in Perfect Cherry Blossom and appeared in several subsequent works as well.
Unlike most ghosts, Yuyuko is able to retain a human form. She is generally very cheerful and friendly, often to the point of making ditzy or nonsensical remarks, but has been known to show a cunning side of her personality. Originally a human, she had the power to invoke death in mortals. As her power grew, she increasingly became afraid of it to the point where she ultimately committed suicide. Her body was then used to place a seal on the demon cherry blossom tree known as Saigyou Ayakashi. During the events of Perfect Cherry Blossom, she enlists the help of her gardener Youmu Konpaku and her long-time friend Yukari Yakumo in an attempt to bring Saigyou Ayakashi back to life so that she could meet the human body sealed underneath it (completely unaware of the fact that it was her own body).
In M.U.G.E.N, Yuyuko has been made by various authors, including Kurogane, Seravy, and RicePigeon. A few other edits were made by otto, including Chain Combo Yuyuko and Queen of dead Yuyuko.
RicePigeon's second version[]
Whimsical and carefree, Yuyuko may appear slow and dimwitted, but don't leave yourself open to her or else you may pay the ultimate price. Yuyuko has all the tools for both offense and defense, but since she's on the slow side it is wise not to get overly aggressive. Playing Yuyuko requires patience, just like waiting for death itself.
PlasmoidThunder's version[]
Despite being yet another April Fools release from PlasmoidThunder, this is no one-note gag. Although the character looks like Yuyuko—and was built upon RicePigeon's version—the moveset is unmistakably Vatista's, just translated to the style of Gensokyo Reloaded; while she retains her charge inputs and strong ranged options, she lacks reverse chaining and jump-cancellable Normals outside of specific instances.
