The very first known Pikachu character, which is better known by the edit that was made eight years later, is very basic. Using only two buttons, it lacks any real form of comboing, but to make up for it, it is quite powerful. It shares similarities with the Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle characters made by an unknown creator.
Pikachu is a two-button character that is very limited in terms of content, attack options and combos. The range on its Normal Attacks is very short, requiring it to get really close to the opponent just to get a few hits in; fortunately, Pikachu is incredibly agile, having much higher movement speeds than most characters, allowing it to get up-close to attack or get away from the opponent quickly.
Having only two buttons and nine attacks naturally limits Pikachu's comboability to little more than 2-3 hits without becoming an infinite, with Pikachu's easiest infinite being achieved by the typical method of holding forward while pressing an attack button, that attack button in this instance being Ⓐ; another infinite can be done by simply cycling between Ⓐ and the Ⓐ version of Fireball, and although it is significantly harder to pull off than [ ]+Ⓐ, the damage output is far higher, providing a quicker victory.
It is possible to keep the opponent in a constant hitstate by spamming the Ⓑ variant of Fireball due to its massive hitstun, though it doesn't deal any damage; this attack can be combo'd into from Ⓐ, meaning Pikachu only has to get the first hit in and then spam the ⒷFireball until the timer runs out.
Being as old as it is, Pikachu doesn't have a custom A.I., using the engine default instead; it typically jumps around and attacks randomly, making it very easy to defeat.
