Featuring sprites and moves based on its Super Smash Bros. counterpart, Mewtwo is a quick and floaty character that can rack up heavy damage through extensive and rather easy to pull off combos. The character features a similar mechanic to the Final Arm gauge from the creator's own Eeveelution characters, being able to activate one of two one-hit K.O. attacks once it's filled up, complete with cinematics and background music.

Gameplay[]

NyanchaMewtwoidle

Mewtwo plays in a six-button style that uses X, Y, and Z as Normals and B as a projectile button, with two additional buttons (A and C) dedicated solely to a shield and a forward hop, respectively. The gameplay style is extremely similar to Marvel vs. Capcom, being able to chain all Normals into each other, Specials and even Hypers. The combos are satisfyingly easy to perform, even creating infinites with some moves. Mewtwo also features a double jump, but that doesn't help much. All of Mewtwo's projectiles use an energy meter at the bottom.

Mewtwo requires combos in order to do significant damage, as the individual damage of its attacks is relatively low. The character's floatiness and mobility are emulated straight from Super Smash Bros..

Mewtwo does not feature a custom A.I. and instead uses the default provided by the engine, which primarily jumps around and guards oncoming attacks.

Victory quotes[]

This character does not have any victory quotes, meaning it uses the screenpack's default.

Trivia[]

  • Sprites of the creator's own Flareon character can be found within Mewtwo's sprite file, though they go unused; it is likely that Flareon was used as the base character from which Mewtwo was built upon.
