Basically, a few people find that my MUGEN character Maxime has a too low damage output and are wondering how he should be played effectively.
Maxime is supposed to be an unusual character in that he deals very little damage with his normals, but has high combo ability and meter building skill. He then uses his supers to deal damage. He is all about pressure. He has many fast and safe high-low mixups with his jabs, and can cover himself with his projectile to move in on the opponent. He can use his parries to avoid being pressured himself, since it allows him to dodge past projectiles and attacks and appear on the other side of the opponent. Once a combo is started, Maxime brings the opponent over to the nearest wall, which is where he can deal most of his non-super related damage, and where his pressure game is at its strongest.
This demo is me playing as Maxime against Jon Talbain by Splode, who has a rather brutal offensive AI, and very long arms and legs. rofl.
The music is "Web Style" by Ask/Silver Technology. Sice I love their music and it was a new piece, I figured I'd drop it in rather than make my own for this video as I usually do.
