Michael Gerard "Mike" Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is a retired American heavyweight boxer and former undisputed heavyweight champion. He makes an appearance as the final boss of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! for the NES. Due to legal issues, he was replaced by an original character named Mr. Dream for later versions of the game and the Virtual Console re-release and by Donkey Kong for the Wii remake.
In M.U.G.E.N, Mike Tyson was made by Bane84 and fhqwhgads7.
This character is based on his appearances in Mike Tyson's Punch Out. When you select him, you'll automatically be taken to the punch out stage. To beat him, you are stuck with mostly basic moves as all combos, hypers, and projectiles are useless against him and it's a big risk trying to pull off combos as he has his uppercut here that will KO you in one hit, just like the real game. He may also might be the most well known version.
fhqwhgads7's version[]
This character is based on his boss appearance in I Wanna Be The Guy: The MUGEN-based Fangame. The only thing he shares with Bane84's version is when you select his Mike Tyson, you'll be automatically be taken to a special stage with BGM included in the character. As for the character himself, he is an Apocalypse-sized character.
His attacks are also quite different then what Bane84's ones are. He can attack the floor to cause bricks flying everywhere he punches. Plus, there is a rage mode where when you hit him enough times and he'll get extremely aggressive and start punching the floor for more bricks to fall out. He can be knocked out 3 times. Enough hits will stun him, and more to the head will knock him down. He has super armor to prevent flinching. Unlike Bane84's version, you can attack him with projectiles.
Gameplay[]
This version of Mike Tyson fights the same as a boss. He has no hypers or specials and his attacks are really strong. As said above, the stage that you will play on will be changed to Mike Tyson's stage. The music will also change, too.
