masterofmugen21 also made a modified version of his Emerl, knows as Ultra Emerl, the transformation Emerl undergoes when Dr. Eggman hit it with his Final Egg Blaster. It has a modified moveset, higher damage output and comboability and a more challenging A.I.
Ultra Emerl works similar to masterofmugen21's Emerl and uses the same button layout. Its gameplay is based off MUGENHunter's characters and is The King of Fighters-styled. It uses Ⓐ and Ⓧ for punches, Ⓑ and Ⓨ for kicks and Ⓩ for a knockdown attack. The Ⓒ button is unused and the Dodge is instead activated with / Ⓐ+Ⓑ.
The main difference between Emerl and Ultra Emerl is that Ultra Emerl's moveset is different and more powerful. A lot of its moves have a high hitstun or knock the opponent down. Ultra Emerl also has more comboability and a higher damage output.
Like Emerl and MUGENHunter's other characters, pressing both buttons at once instead of either of the buttons required to activate a Hyper, activates a more powerful version of the Hyper which costs 2000 Power instead of 1000. However, it has only one Hyper, limiting its options when it comes to Power usage. It also has less Specials than Emerl.
Ultra Emerl has a more advanced A.I. than Emerl, attacking very frequently and often performing combos. It is able to deal huge damage if the player leaves itself open to attacks. However, it still jumps around often. It provides a fair challenge, but is still beatable.
