While most versions of Magneto attempt to be close to the "Marvel vs. Capcom" series, this version strives to have a partially custom moveset, as it is included in two of Project X's fullgames.

As a creation by ZVitor, a member of Infinity Mugen Team, the character has a six button layout. This is due to the fact that it uses the DC vs. Marvel template, but with heavy modifications. Also as a result of the template, as well as the creator and fullgame's style, Magneto plays like a "Marvel vs. Capcom" character.

Being a creation for a fullgame, Magneto has several different moves not present in the "Marvel vs. Capcom" series. It retains three Specials (EM Disruptor, Force Field and Magnetic Blast) and one Hyper (Shock Wave), but the rest of its moves are custom. Interestingly enough, some of the new moves function similarly to the absent ones, such as Magnetic Coil pulling the opponent towards Magneto in a similar fashion to Hyper Grav. The flight mode is also absent.

While some of ZVitor's characters have an A.I, Magneto isn't one of them, as it uses random attacks at random intervals, making it pretty much a pushover to defeat.
