MUGENX's pika plays very closely to the Super Smash Bros. incarnation, to the point where it becomes very overpowered; all pika has to do to defeat the opponent is knock them far enough to the left, right, or top parts of the screen, where they will get "K.O.'d"; doing this three times causes their Life to drop to 0, delivering an actual K.O.
Pika is a five-button character that makes use of Ⓐ, Ⓑ, Ⓒ and Ⓩ. As the character is heavily based on Pikachu's Super Smash Bros. incarnation, each button represents one of the buttons used in Super Smash Bros., where Ⓐ is the Regular Attack button, Ⓑ is the Special Attack button, Ⓒ is the Bubble Shield/Dodge button and Ⓩ is the Grab button; also like Super Smash Bros., holding a direction while pressing an attack button performs a different attack than if no direction was being held; holding down a direction and Ⓐ at the same time activates a Smash Attack, which increases in damage and knockback the longer it's held down.
Pika is very different from other characters in that its opponent is given three "stocks", which deplete every time pika hits the opponent hard enough into either the left, right, or top of the screen, just like in Super Smash Bros., and when the opponent runs out of stocks, they are automatically K.O.'d. Given how easy it is to knock the opponent out of the stage, this makes pika very easy to win with, and much harder to defeat, as pika does not share the same stock-based system as its opponents do, unless it was to fight itself.
Pika has custom A.I. that uses many of its tools and gimmicks, making pika a very difficult opponent to defeat. It will often pressure the opponent into a corner and attempt to knock them out with a strong attack. Naturally, even if one avoids getting knocked out the area by playing it smart and blocking pika's attacks, its attacks on their own still do large amounts of damage, whether guarded against or not, and it can still K.O. its opponent through the usual method of reducing the opponent's Life to 0.
