Remilia Scarlet is a vampire from Touhou Project, first appearing as the final boss in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and later as a playable character in Immaterial and Missing Power, Imperishable Night and Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. She is the older sister of Flandre Scarlet.
Remilia has the ability to manipulate fate, which probably explains why Sakuya Izayoi, a human, is her servant. Remilia is also one of two parties involved in the creation of the Devil's Contract (the other party speculated to be Yukari Yakumo) after Remilia led a youkai rampage once she first arrived in Gensokyo. This incident also resulted in the creation of the spellcard rules, which put humans and youkai on equal footing during battles. During the events of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, she has Patchouli Knowledge create a red mist in the sky to blot out the sun so she can go outside during the day.
In M.U.G.E.N, Remilia has been made by various authors.
Kohaku's version[]
Like Kohaku's other Touhou Project characters, Remilia comes with influence from Melty Blood, but has completely custom gameplay. It can enter battle with three different possible ways to defend enemy attacks, but its A.I is quite a pushover, considering how tough Remilia is to battle in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

Having spent close to five centuries together, you'd expect both Scarlet sisters to have adopted similar fighting styles; while this is true in the case of their normal melee attacks and general rushdown gameplay, subtle differences combined with Remilia's greater experience sets her apart from her younger sister, so rather than acting as glass cannon, Remilia uses her vampiric power to try to stay alive for as long as possible.
