Scorpion comes with everything he had in the original game (although not emulated perfectly), such as a guard button, a sweep kick/roundhouse, a Teleport Punch and the Spear, while also having a new Special, the Teleport Kick, and two new Hypers; the first Hyper, Hiper Scorpion Fury, is an autocombo that ends with Scorpion throwing his spear and uppercutting the foe, however, the spear will sometimes miss such as when the foe is in the corner. Another issue is that the attacks have Infinite Priority. A strange thing is that while he can block with the block button, Ⓩ, he can also block the traditional way, with . He carries a hidden Noob Saibot helper if the player inputs the Smoke code from Mortal Kombat II when Noob Saibot's image appears which is +Ⓢ.
