Like Kohaku's other Touhou Project characters, Remilia comes with influence from Melty Blood, but has completely custom gameplay. It can enter battle with three different possible ways to defend enemy attacks, but its A.I. is quite a pushover, considering how tough Remilia is to battle in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

Gameplay[]

Remilia uses either five or six buttons, depending on what type of defence is chosen during the intro. The punch buttons are Remilia's Basic Attacks, B and C summon Patchouli Knowledge and Arcueid Brunestud respectively. It can select either Shielding (similar to Melty Blood, also activated by A), Just Defending, or Parrying.

Her gameplay is quite balanced and reasonably combo heavy, as her Specials are quite fast and useful, and can be comboed in to. Remilia isn't projectile oriented unlike other Touhou Project characters, as most moves require close combat. She still has one projectile move (Servant Flier).

Its A.I. is easy and unchallenging, but an A.I. patch exists.
