Kitana's playing style is all about controlling the battle field with her specials. While her normal attacks are fast enough to make powerful combos that can easily beat an enemy, she can easily keep enemies at bay by creating wind with her fans that lifts the foe and then following that up with a square punch. From a distance, she can throw a fan that does a satisfying amount of damage and even in close combat she can create distance from the opponent by swiping at their necks with her fans. However, while her specials are a great asset to her, using them at the wrong time can often lead to her being completely vulnerable to attacks, particularly projectiles.
