Although a four buttoned take on the American with the flaming uppercut, this version is based on the original Street Fighter. While he may not have much comboability with that being his basis, alongside weakened specials for balance, new Hypers that were not present in the original game may pack a punch.
Ken uses a four-button layout, using Ⓧ, Ⓨ, Ⓐ and Ⓑ, despite the source material having a six-button or two-button layout. Even with this, it still manages to have some accuracy to the source material, aside from the more-balanced Specials and newly-added Hypers.
Ken doesn't have much comboability, with its basis being on a game created before the discovery of combos. However, he can combo his light Normals into other light Normals, Specials, or Hypers, if timing is precise enough.
Ken's A.I. is a tad aggressive, although still beatable. It has a tendency to use Dragon_punch or Hurricane kick to try and get closer to the opponent, and will usually combo a crouching Kick into Fire_ball or shinkuu hadouken_x if close enough.

Trivia[]
Like the creator's Ryu, Ken's Dragon_punch and Hurricane kick Specials and shinkuu hadouken_x (Shoryu-Reppa) and shinkuu Tatsu_a (Shinryuken) Hypers are classified as Normals rather than Specials or Hypers.
