Gameplay[]

Old Ness Idle

Ness is a six-button character that plays like a four-button character. He appears to use a custom button layout instead of the one from a regular fighting game. He uses A for his Normals, B for his Specials and PK star storm, C for blocking, Z for grab and throws depending on the button pressed where Ness will throw his opponents and X and Y for jumping. Ness plays like his iteration from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and features the gameplay style from the said game. He can also move while in the air, something that is not possible by normal characters.

Ness can perform combos with several moves that hits the opponent more than once. This especially applies to his forward aerial, PK fire, and his down tilt that can be performed if the player crouches and rapidly presses the A button. Ness can also chain grab with his up throw, which can result in an infinite, although this must be well timed. Ness' moves depend on which button is pressed at the required time. For example, pressing down and A at the same time makes Ness attack his opponents with the yo-yo, and the same thing can happen if the player presses up. While Ness' Attack stat is set to 80, his moves can cause some damage, especially if PK fire is used several times and if Ness fully charges his PK flash, especially if it hits the ground. Ness' PK star storm can also cause a lot of damage, since the projectiles launch the opponents up, which can K.O. them easily, especially if the character has high sprites.

Ness has three Specials and one Hyper. Since Ness is based on his iteration from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, they work just like the ones from the said game; PK flash is a projectile that results in Ness charging a ball and if it explodes, the opponent takes damage, depending on where the projectile goes. PK fire is his second special that is also a projectile, which involves Ness firing a projectile that turns into a fire if it hits the opponent, and can be used several times before the fire even stops. PK thunder is his third projectile special, where Ness launches a thunder ball that makes the player lose control of Ness until the projectile stops. It can hit the opponent normally, but if it hits Ness, it will launch him into the opponent, and then the player will regain the control of Ness. PK star storm is Ness' only Hyper that costs 3000 power, and it fires meteors from the air that come down and hit his opponents several times, depending on how many will connect. He also has a move called PK magnet which heals some of Ness' HP if he's hit by a projectile, with the amount varying depending on how much amount of damage the projectile deals. Each move can also be used in the air.

Ness has a custom A.I. that is shown to be aggressive. It makes Ness perform some combo while hitting his opponent in the air and it performs the up throw a lot if Ness grabs his opponent. It also uses his PK star storm almost immediately after he gains enough Power, which makes Ness a tough opponent to fight.
