Sans is a major character from UNDERTALE, a turn-based RPG. He is the older brother and caretaker of Papyrus. He serves as a major supporting character during the game's Neutral and Pacifist routes, giving the player advice. During the Genocide route, however, he instead serves as a heroic antagonist and final boss.
Sans and his brother Papyrus live in Snowdin village, where they first meet the player. Sans has a laid-back personality, considering himself to be lazy. Despite this, he also appears to be insightful and possesses knowledge of timelines, taking note of any of the player's actions taken when attempting to reset the game, as well as accurately predicting the destruction of the timeline during the Genocide route. He enjoys making bad puns, especially around his brother Papyrus, and has a fondness for ketchup, possibly as a result of operating his various "illegal" hot dog stands in the underground. Due to his aforementioned knowledge of timelines, as well as his ability to "teleport" around the underground, the fact that he has a laboratory built in his basement in Snowdin village, and his possession of the Gaster Blaster weapons, it is speculated that he may be an apprentice of, or related to, the former royal scientist, W.D. Gaster.

Gamerduck13's version
This version of the comical skeleton appears to be directly inspired by FourthRhyme's characters, seeing as how he has a similar gameplay style present with the creator's work, although this actually works against the character's favour, as Sans' attacks generally have a rather short range and do little damage, along with an inability to combo any of his moves together. This version of Sans won't be giving out bad times anytime soon.
Sumin's version
True to self, Sumin's version of Sans may seem like the easiest enemy with his single-digit Life and Defence stats, but that's where the character's main gimmick comes into play—his dodge—which allows him to avoid any and all damage automatically until his meter empties. That's not to say he's all about running away, however, as he has plenty of attacks up his sleeves, including the powerful Gaster Blaster.
Lebert130's version
This version of the reality-warping skeleton doesn't have much meat on it's bones, with a small sprite count and a grand total of five attacks.
