A near-direct port of Ryu from Street Fighter III: Third Strike, it uses the classic 6-button layout. Everything from the game's parry feature to the Art selection has been implemented with this character for use in M.U.G.E.N.
Based on Ryu's appearance in Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, this is a 6-button character. Each of its Normals and Specials vary in damage and/or animation duration in accordance to these. That is, from weak and quick to strong and slow, for punch commands: Ⓧ, Ⓨ and Ⓩ, and for kick commands: Ⓐ, Ⓑ andⒸ. Like GM's others Street Fighter characters, you can either choose to use one of Ryu's Super Arts or all three simultaneously via a selector at the beginning of the fight.
Ryu's A.I. is very good, but it sometimes spams with the Hadouken.

Like all of GM's Street Fighter III characters, Ryu's palettes are shuffled but essentially the same as the source game; its default palette is blue, while in the original game, it was white.
