Gladiacloud chose Gotenks as his fourth Dragon Ball Z character. As such, it plays similar to most other Mugen Dream characters, all of which replicate CHOUJIN's style. Gotenks has fast paced and combo heavy gameplay, but it also has a somewhat wide movepool, usable for leaving a trajectory. The weaknesses of this character are limited, but not in the hands of the default A.I.

Gameplay[]

Gotenks is a six-button character. It has four basic attack buttons and the two remaining buttons (C and Z) activate a Power Charge and a teleport respectively. At full Power, however, the Power Charge becomes a teleport as well. Gotenks' gameplay system is a replica of the one found in MugenDream's other Dragon Ball Z characters, hence the control scheme. It has a variety of easy-to-activate Specials, as well as three Hypers, each using more Power than the last, being more powerful than the last, and using one of three commands (Down, Down-Right, Right Down, Down-Right, Right Y, Down, Down-Right, Right Down, Down-Right, Right B, and Down, Down-Right, Right Right B).

Gotenks has barely any weaknesses due to being suitably well rounded, almost too well, but not enough to take it to cheap status. Its multi-hitting Specials come out fast and can be fairly devastating. However, the recovery on some of them is questionable. Energy Balls is a multi-shot projectile, being the only Special projectile in its arsenal, but the Special costs Power. This encourages close-up rushdown play. Some of its Crouching Normals hit OTG, allowing for many resets.

The behaviours the A.I. exibits aren't too far off from Kung Fu Man. It jumps around and uses Specials at random, with the occasional Hyper.
