As a fighter, Bowser relies on its Normals and Specials dealing somewhat higher damage than a normal character (like Kung Fu Man). It is slow, being unable to run, and it also lacks the ability to combo. Out of its three Specials, Bowser has one projectile to keep its opponents at bay. It also lacks Hypers.
Bowser lacks a custom A.I, using the engine's default. It jumps around, blocks and attacks, all at random intervals. This makes Bowser an easy adversary to fight against, also being recommended for beginners. This A.I also works for the character considerably well, putting its many shortcomings into consideration.
