Like many versions of Leonardo, Descolor's version is based heavily off Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters. It isn't 100% accurate to said game, as it has several differences, such as being somewhat faster, but it is overall mostly faithful.
This version is based off Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters for the Super Nintendo. It uses four buttons, has 1000 Power, and has the moves from the source game.
Leonardo's moveset is reminiscent of a Shotoclone, wielding a fireball, a dragon punch type of move, and an attack similar to the hurricane kick.
Compared to the source game, Leonardo's gameplay is rather similar, but there are a couple differences. The moves behave similarly, but Leonardo seems to be slightly better at comboing compared to the source game, as it has slightly faster movement speed. That being said, these combos aren't very long, but to make up for this, Leo has higher than average damage output.
In terms of an A.I, Leonardo has a custom A.I. It plays defensive, but also takes advantage of the opponent letting its guard down to get up close and personal. It also tends to use Shining Cutter from a distance.
